Biography

Tolulope Adesua Etomi was born in Owerri, Imo State, on February 2, 1988. Adesua Etomi was born to an Edo father and a Yoruba mother. She is the youngest of three siblings, with two older siblings, Tosin Etomi and Temitayo Etomi.

Her father was a soldier while her mother was a civil engineer.

Adesua Etomi joined the drama club at Corona School in Victoria Island, Lagos, at the age of seven. She went on to Queen’s College in Lagos following that before migrating to the United Kingdom at the age of 13. Etomi later graduated from City College Coventry with a diploma in physical theatre, musical theatre, and performing arts in 2004. She studied drama and performance at the University of Wolverhampton, graduating with first-class honours after finishing these studies with triple distinctions in 2006.

Adesua Etomi returned to Nigeria after studying and working in the United Kingdom to pursue her career in acting. She began her acting career in 2014 when she starred in the film Knocking On Heaven’s Door. The film gave her some relevance after her stellar performance. 

Though she began performing at the tender age of seven, she was a drama group member at her elementary school in Lagos, Corona School.
