Cheated to fight two 41yr olds Julianna Pena rips curtain jerker Mayra Silva for fai

Former UFC bantamweight champion Julianna Pena had some strong words for her fellow bantamweight Mayra Bueno Silva. Pena talks plenty of trash at her opponents. After the news of Silva’s failed drug test, Pena went to Twitter to criticize her fellow bantamweight, calling the Brazilian ‘a cheat.’

Pena accused Silva of drug use to gain an advantage in her fights. She tweeted, “#Cheatara, living up to your nickname. Back to being a curtain-jerker of an Apex card you go. You fought two 41-year-olds this year and you had to cheat in order to get it done. Can’t pass a drugtest? Keep my name out of your mouth ya dumb broad!” Pena might be the biggest trash talker in women’s MMA.

Silva fought Holly Hom and defeated her in the main event of UFC Vegas 77. But the submission victory is in jeopardy as Silva recently revealed her failed drug test. Reports suggest that the banned substance found in Silva’s body is due to her Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD) medications. UFC will likely proceed to overturn Silva’s victory over Holm.

But the former bantamweight champ has already passed her judgment and has accused Silva of cheating. The fighters were seemingly going back and forth before this incident. Due to Amanda Nunes’s retirement, Mayra Silva and Julianna Pena were both emerging potential opponents for the vacant belt at 135 lbs. But this failed drug test may be the new twist in the story of the title fight. UFC’s decision over this matter will impact how the title fight for women’s bantamweight shapes up.

Mayra Bueno Silva responds to Julianna Pena

After Julianna Pena’s Twitter rant, women’s bantamweight fighter Mayra Silva responded to the former champ’s accusations. The recent failed drug test has put Silva in a tricky situation. Her recent victory against Holly Holm could be on the verge of overturning due to her failed test.

The 3rd ranked bantamweight contender expressed her opinion on Pena’s accusations. The Brazilian doesn’t seem impressed by Pena’s fighting style. She also claimed confidence about dominating Pena for all five rounds in their potential fight. Silva expressed her wish to fight Pena next. Currently, Julianna is set to fight against Raquel Pennington in the near future.

This fight between Pena and Penington could be fought for the vacant title, but the world is awaiting the UFC’s decision over Silva’s failed drug test. A potential matchup between Pena and Sliva could enlighten the bantamweight division, which has seen less sparks since the retirement of Amanda Nunes.
