Fatal two-vehicle crash on US20 claims life of Middleton juvenile

According to a recent news release, Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash on US20 at the intersection of Midland Boulevard east of Caldwell.

At about 8:06 a.m. on July 10, a Middleton juvenile drove southbound on Midland Boulevard in a 2012 Subaru Tribeca. A 59-year-old male from Caldwell drove westbound on US20 in a 2019 Oshkosh concrete truck. The Subaru failed to stop at the stop sign and was struck by the concrete truck.

The driver of the Subaru succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The driver of the concrete truck was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The roadway was blocked in both directions for two hours.

The Canyon County Coroner's Office will release the name of the decedent's identity and determine the cause and manner of death.

The collision remains under investigation.
