FBI agent shot in Lenore, injuries non-life threatening

An FBI agent is recovering after being shot trying to serve a search warrant Thursday in Lenore, according to FBI Public Affairs Specialist Sandra Yi Barker with the FBI Salt Lake CIty, Utah division.

Nez Perce Tribe spokesperson Kayeloni Scott tells KLEW News Lewiston Police, Nez Perce County Sheriff's deputies, and Tribal Police assisted in the warrant service.

The shooting happened around 6:00 a.m. at a home near the Nez Perce Tribal Fish Hatchery off of Cherrylane.

One person was taken into custody.

KLEW News also reached out to the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Idaho in Boise. A spokesperson could not comment beyond confirmation of the shooting due to the ongoing investigation.

No other information has been released, including names of those involved.
