Novak Djokovic’s recent form has been a major concern for the tennis world. After a historic 2023 season, there was a complete 180-degree flip of fortunes for the 37-year-old, who hasn’t been able to even enter the finals of a single tournament so far.

On account of this, Eurosport tennis expert Alex Corretja has asked Nole’s fans to not be concerned about Djokovic’s form for the Slam and believes that the world is going to see a better version of the Serbian in some time. With many more Slam events yet to be played, Djokovic has time to get into his groove and play the rest of the year on a high.

Don’t see Novak suffering or fighting the same when he’s playing important tournaments like Masters 1000s. But now, when he gets into Roland-Garros, Wimbledon, the Olympics, the US Open, he knows he has to give everything.
Alex Corretja said via Eurosport

This is just the second instance since 2006, where Djokovic has entered the French Open courts without any title to his name. In addition to the swinging form, he also had some injury concerns over the season adding to his misery.

For sure his form might go into crescendo in this tournament. He might need some suffering at some point, and he will be ready. I believe we are going to see a good version of Novak. I would be very surprised if Novak doesn’t reach at least the semi-finals.

Alex Corretja added

Djokovic is set to begin his French Open campaign against Pierre-Hugues Herbert on Tuesday. The tennis world will have eyes on this match to observe Djokovic’s form.

Novak Djokovic was in attendance watching Rafael Nadal take on Alexander Zverev at the French Open

Yesterday, Novak Djokovic watched Rafael Nadal take on Alexander Zverev in the first round of the French Open. It was one of the most anticipated matches of the tournament and many tennis stars were in attendance.

Djokovic, along with Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek, were caught on camera a few times. All of them witnessed Nadal play for a possible last time at the French Open.

Nadal was up against a tough opponent in the form of Zverev and, for the first time, he was the underdog at the French Open. Unfortunately, it was not to be as the Spaniard lost in straight sets.

Novak Djokovic wanted to make sure how much tennis left inside Nadal! So that he can plan for his retirement! I think he should be assured now that his 24 slam record will stay for quite a while and Nadal wouldn’t be able to overtake him! #Novak #Djokovic #Nadal pic.twitter.com/lMsWe0H6er

Despite a valiant effort to fight back, he failed to make it count and ultimately lost to Zverev 3-6, 6-7, 3-6. This marked a possible end to his career at the French Open as he waved goodbye to the crowd.
