Massive spoiler on Rhea Ripleys opponent for WWE SummerSlam 2023

July 2024 · 3 minute read

Ever since capturing the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39, Rhea Ripley has been untouchable. With each passing week, Mami is growing in an unapologetic charisma and undeniable presence. By the looks, WWE plans to have the superstar from Down Under hold that gold around her waist for long.

So being said, the Stamford-based promotion is motoring towards Summer. They need to figure out the creative plans for their top stars in advance. And it seems like the people in charge has come up with an interesting plan for the eradicator of The Judgment Day. Last night on Twitter, Xero News hinted at some possible turnarounds concerning the women’s division on Monday Night Raw.

He even teased Rhea Ripley’s challenger for the Biggest Party of the Summer. Although nowhere close to being locked as the plan, Alexa Bliss is an early favorite to square off against Ripley in August. In addition, it appears that Little Miss Bliss, who’s been away from television since Royal Rumble, will mark her return soon.

If that happens within a span of 1 or 2 weeks, Bliss’ fans can’t just be more happy. She’s had a bumpy run after transitioning herself into a darker persona. The affiliations with Bray Wyatt haven’t struck a home run so far for Bliss. As a matter of fact, it would be great if WWE eventually decides to revert her back to her Goddess gimmick.

Who’s going to challenge Rhea Ripley next?

On the Raw after WWE Backlash, Rhea Ripley faced Dana Brooke in a non-title showdown. Even after passing a physical beating, the Australian superstar decided to continue the assault. Making a necessary save, Natalya came to the rescue for Brooke. After a brief staredown with Nattie, the SmackDown Women’s Champion left the ring with Dominik Mysterio.

Continuing her mini feud with Ripley, the Canadian wrestler interrupted the former during a backstage interview on Raw this week. After being rudely cut during her interview, Rhea Ripley lost her cool and warned Natalya not to repeat that act ever again.

Reading through the lines, a singles match between the two is on the horizon. It remains to be seen whether the gold will be up for grabs or not. However, without the hitch of a doubt, Nattie’s going to be a no match for someone as remorseless as Ripley. To an obvious cause, the Hart Family member will serve as a warm-up opponent for the champ, until she moves onto bigger stuff.
