Mystery Consumes Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Fans, Co-Stars

Karlie Redd’s age has become a topic of debate for Love & Hip Hop Atlanta fans and cast members alike. Like a Bigfoot or Loch Ness Monster sighting, one never knows what – or who – to believe in one of the great mysteries of our time.

The fact that she’s a compulsive liar certainly fuels the speculation.

VH1’s hit reality show is currently wrapping up its first season, with the second half of its Reunion Special slated for Monday. On the first part, Karlie Redd – who’s claimed she’s “in her twenties” – repeatedly dodged questions about her age.

She explained her reasoning behind the secrecy was her daughter, whose age she also won’t reveal because she strives to “protect” her only child.

And to not reveal how only she herself is.

In the mid 2000s, Karlie was on a VH1 show called Scream Queens, claiming at the time to be 29. So she’s at least like 35, if that was even true then.

Who knows how long she’s been in her “twenties.” Co-star K. Michelle’s hilariously said Redd “marched with Martin Luther King” in the 1960s.

In response to that line, Redd claimed:

“Do I look like I’m 50? Don’t listen to K Michelle. K Michelle don’t know what the f*%k she talking about. I’m in my twenties, and as an entertainer you don’t tell your age. She [K. Michelle] just had to say something because I was coming at her.”

Sure. Meanwhile, Karlie’s ex-BF and LHHA co-star Benzino – who has three kids ages 9-19 – recently said Karlie Redd’s daughter is a “grown woman.”
