Nampa school's catalytic converters stolen from school buses

The Kangaroo Clubhouse, a Nampa childcare and learning center, is struggling to find transportation for their students. Because, on Monday, the catalytic converters were stolen out of two of their school buses.

With school starting on Wednesday, teachers are concerned as to whether students will be able to find ways to get to school.

“There’s a lot of parents that are really upset, frustrated, nervous, they don’t really know what they’re going to do come tomorrow, and neither do we," said Jennifer Koppes, owner of Kangaroo Clubhouse.

The buses provided transportation to 50 out of 80 students at the Nampa location, and the school doesn't have enough money to afford new converters.

"I'm afraid that kids will be going home after school alone or having to have to get on the bus by themselves or walking to school by themselves," Koppes said.

A gofunde page was started to help fix the buses.
