NBA 2K23 players have recently begun facing a new traveling bug. NBA 2K23 has faced a lot of bugs and the players have kept the developer busy in fixing the game. The game was released in September 2022 and has been one of the most-played sports games of this year.
Players had also faced a similar traveling glitch in earlier games of 2K and NBA 2K23 when it was released. Players could dribble mid-way through a layup and continue dribbling in that glitch. There was a layup bug, a shooting travel glitch, and a jump shot glitch that allowed an extra dribble to the player.
An NBA 2K player took to Reddit to share an in-game video of the glitch. This shows a 1v1 match and when the player holds the ball after stopping the dribble he can move on his own without taking s step. The player easily brushed past an even bigger player and clearly traveled to make a basket.

NBA 2K23 Pump Fake Glitch Lets Players Move Their Pivot Foot
Glitches like these make the game unplayable and the developers haven’t been responding on time. The Reddit clip clearly shows how the player just jumped crossed the court and scored with no foul. For those who don’t know what a travel foul is, if the player who has the basketball starts to dribble and picks up his dribble, then the player can only move his one foot (pivot foot).
Taking an extra step or moving your pivot will cause a foul IRL but with this bug, players can move across the court by doing fake jump shots violating the game rules.
NBA players have been furious regarding this new bug and are asking the devs to fix the game as soon as possible. The Reddit post has more than 80 comments from different players wanting answers.
There are several other YouTubers who have made videos regarding these travel bugs. Some of these travel bugs are not new and they were there in the earlier games of 2K22 too and the developers did not fix them in this NBA 2K23.
